“Just like when I worked with congressman Paul Ryan, a republican, to do the budgeting a year and a half ago, I’m working with Senator Lamar Alexander, a republican who is the chair of the committee. He and I are jointly trying to write a bipartisan rewrite of No Child Left Behind law to help this work again, it desperately needs to be rewritten,” Murray told Northwest Now host Tom Layson.
