Governor’s Student Voter Registration Challenge!  Now

Bates Technical College and Phi Theta Kappa have signed up to take the Governor’s Student Voter Registration Challenge!  To win, we need to be the community and technical college with the highest percentage of new voter registrations and updated voter registration information (change of address, change of name, etc.).

Queer I Am Conference

Apply now for the chance to attend the Queer I Am Conference!

Queer I am is a liberating space in higher education that empowers queer people to develop a sense of belonging and pride in queer culture. The summit amplifies LGBTQ+ experiences at the intersections of identity and education to support the diverse needs of the community.

Bates Technical College will cover the cost of conference registration, travel, hotel and meals for FOUR students. Apply By October 2, 2018.

The conference will be held at: South Puget Sound Community College on October 26 & 27, 2018

Student Food Pantry

Sack lunches and snacks are available for hungry students. They can be found at the Downtown Campus ASG office in C301, South Campus ASG/Vet Center B512, High School Office and Library, and Central Campus front desk.

Did you know?

Did you know the Student Diversity Center is open daily from 7 AM until 4 PM? The center also offers resources like: printing, resource shelf, ASG, Fridge, Microwave, games. There are also vending machines in the Student Lounge, room C 303, Downtown.

Prayer and Meditation Space

The temporary Prayer, Quite Reflection and Meditation Space is right across the hall from the Student Diversity Center. Room C302, Downtown.

               

Student Clubs

Start a student club! Visit our club website bates.ctc.edu/clubs. It is a great opportunity to meet new people who share a common interest.

Recovery Club

Financial News

Economic Secretariat Scholarship – Now

The Economic Secretariat is pleased to present our new scholarship to Washington State Community & Technical Colleges. Students from all majors are welcome to apply for this $1,000 scholarship but it may be of particular interest to business students. Please write a 1,000 to 1,500-word essay answering and reflecting the following questions:

  • In what ways do you consider yourself an entrepreneur?
  • What motivates you to work hard in everything that you do?
  • As an entrepreneur, what do you view as “success” and what do you think it takes to become successful in 2018?
  • Knowing that entrepreneurship involves a lot of ups and downs, describe the best example of you being persistent in the face of failure.

Have a 3.5+ GPA?

If you have earned 12 college level credits, with a 3.5 cumulative GPA or above, you may be eligible to join Phi Theta Kappa, the international honors society on campus.  Keep your eyes on your email for an invitation!

September 27 Last day to add a class w/o Instructor permission

September 29 Last day to drop a class at 80% refund

October 8 Last day to add a class for Fall Quarter w/ instructor permission

October 9 Last day to drop a class at 40% refund

October 15 Veteran Priority Registration for Winter Quarter

October 16 Registration Continuing Students Winter Quarter

October 17 Registration New Students Winter Quarter

November 8 Last day to drop a class for a “W” on transcript

November 12 Veterans Day – College Closed

November 23 & 23 Thanksgiving Break – College Closed

December 7 Last day of Fall Quarter
