ASG and Student Life

Student Food Pantry – Collecting Donations

Downtown desperately needs 1-gallon Ziploc bags. The student food pantry is collecting donations. We are looking for individually packaged non-perishable items for lunch bags to feed hungry students. For example, cup of noodles, cup mac and cheese, bottled water, granola bars, individually wrapped crackers, small bags of nuts, jerky and chips. Donations can be delivered to the Downtown Campus ASG office in C301, South Campus ASG/Vet Center B512, High School Office and Library, and Central Campus front desk.

Student Satisfaction Survey

In May of 2018, students were asked to complete a satisfaction survey covering a wide range of topics. Almost 500 students took the survey. Preliminary results are available online here.  A guide for interpreting the results is available here.

In the coming months, additional reports will be released including a qualitative analysis of the open-ended questions and results compiled by campus and program area.

Student Clubs

All student led clubs will sunset after summer quarter. Clubs must be re-sanctioned annually, if a club wishes to continue for the next academic year, they must re-apply for sanctioning. Clubs are encouraged to re-apply in early July for the next academic year.

Start a student club! Visit our club website bates.ctc.edu/clubs. It is a great opportunity to meet new people who share a common interest.
