After a year of primary elections, scandals, and a fair share of mudslinging from all sides, the 2016 Election is finally over, and America has elected Donald Trump to be our 45th President.

In this edition of Northwest Now, we’ll take a closer look at what’s next as the peaceful transfer of power begins. We’ll  speak to three political experts about  our new President-Elect and Congress.

Plus, we’ll also discuss the ramifications of the outcomes of local and state elections, as Washington voters decide on the Governor’s race and the future of the State Legislature, as well as key ballot initiatives.

The Emmy and Telly Award-winning public affairs series Northwest Now airs Fridays at 7:30 p.m. on KBTC Public Television, a service of Bates Technical College.
