The organization dedicated to celebrating stories of Tacoma’s women and girls who have helped shape the community, will showcase storytellers at the second annual WILLO Storytelling Festival.
The FREE event takes place on Saturday, Oct. 17, 1-4 p.m. at the Broadway Center, Theater on the Square, 901 Broadway, in Tacoma.
The Women’s Intergenerational Living Legacy Organization aims to create a place for Tacoma’s women and girls to engage with each other, connect locally and globally through the city’s international sister-cities, and promote experience-based education through recording and writing stories of local women via multimedia outlets.
The storytelling event features seven females, ranging from a local middle school student, an executive director, and an associate professor to a superintendent of public schools, regional director of a health organization, a community college president emeritus, and more.
This event is free, but space is limited. Those who wish to attend should reserve their ticket here.
