It’s been over three decades since Washington state has seen its last GOP Governor. This November, voters will decide if that trend stays the same–or if a change is in order.

In this edition of Northwest Now, Republican gubernatorial candidate Bill Bryant makes his case for the state’s top job. Bryant answered a series of questions from host Tom Layson that were the same for both gubernatorial candidates. Governor Jay Inslee’s program aired last week and is available online.

“Education is really driving me to run for governor because after four years I’m very disappointed that we have made not made progress with every kid regardless of where they grow up has an equal chance,” Bryant told Layson.

The Emmy and Telly Award-winning public affairs series Northwest Now airs Fridays at 7:30 p.m. on KBTC Public Television, a service of Bates Technical College.
